A temporary speed limit and road reopening measures are being implemented to ensure the safety and efficiency of traffic flow on Hughes Line during ongoing roadworks on State Highway 2 (SH2).
Northbound closure; Southbound reopening
Hughes Line has reopened for southbound traffic only. The section between Francis Line to Cornwall Road remains closed.
Temporary Signage and Priority Traffic Measures
Temporary signage indicating a speed limit of 70 km/hr has been installed. Priority traffic signs, such as one-lane bridge indicators, have been placed at the culverts, giving priority to southbound traffic.
