The building department at the Carterton District Council have been experiencing a very high volume of building consent applications and inspection requests, which has resulted in delays.
James Kirkland – Team Leader – and his partner Jess welcomed their baby into the world on Thursday the 6th May which is incredibly exciting for them and we wish them all the very best for this new chapter in their lives.
James is on annual leave now for at least a week, so please be prepared for some disruption and interruptions in consents being processed and inspection availability.
We would also like to take this opportunity to advise that we have engaged another Building Consent Officer who will be commencing his employment with us at the end of the month, we are thrilled about this as it will mean that some of the pressure will be relieved on our team and the local tradespeople.
