10 September 2022
As you may know, we have been flying our flags at half-mast as a sign of respect the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

However, on Sunday 11 September between 8am and 5pm, our flags will be flown at full mast, as the Governor General of New Zealand proclaims King Charles III as the King of New Zealand. Flags will return to half-mast thereafter until the day following the state memorial service (in NZ) for Queen Elizabeth II.

The Proclamation of Accession ceremony will be held at Parliament at 12.30PM on Sunday 11 September. The Parliament forecourt will be available to invited guests only, but members of the public are welcome to gather on the grounds. A livestream of the ceremony will be available on the Governor General webpage on the day of the ceremony www.gg.govt.nz
