Police are responding to a serious crash in Ponatahi, near Carterton. Sadly, one person has died. A second person has been seriously injured. The road is closed on Ponatahi after the Millars Rd intersection and is expected to be closed for some time to allow emergency services to attend.
Diversions are in place at Ponatahi Road and Kokotau Road.
Motorists are asked to please avoid the area.
