Our regulatory team had another busy and productive year. The team thank you all for your support, and wish you an incredibly happy and safe holiday season.
The Regulatory Department will close on Friday 19 December, re-opening Monday 5 January, with a limited number of staff while others continue with a well-earned break.
Building Consents and Resource Consents submitted before 9am, Friday 21 November will have the best chance of being granted and issued before the holiday period [subject to correctness of the application].
Anything submitted after 9am on 19 December will not get lodged until 12 January.
The last building inspection timeslot for 2025 will be 2.30pm, Monday 22 December, and the first inspection time in the New Year will be at 9am, Tuesday 6 January.
The last day for applying for a non-urgent LIM Report is Friday 5 December 2025, and the last day for applying for an urgent LIM Report is Friday 12 December. LIMs submitted outside these dates will not be lodged until 12 January.
We will begin accepting Building Consents, Resource Consents, and LIM applications on Monday 12 January 2026.
