The Carterton outdoor pool complex will now open at 10am, Saturday 30 November, rather than this weekend.
New operating systems at the pools are still working to get the balance right, and a week’s delay at a time where visitor numbers are traditionally low will help us over the busy summer season.
It is essential to ensure everything is operating at 100% before we open the gates for another fantastic summer season.
A Council spokesperson said the new system, once fully operational, will ensure pool maintenance is more accurate and reliable than ever.
“We understand the excitement around the pool season, and we’re equally eager to open the pools as soon as possible. This short delay will allow us to make sure everything is ready for our community to enjoy.
“We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming everyone to the pools soon.”
