Lest we forget.
We encourage people to plan for and attend ANZAC Day services as they ordinarily would. It is an important and timely opportunity for our communities to come together.
As our communities prepare to attend ANZAC Day services this Saturday, we’re reminding everyone to take a little extra care following recent weather events.
Many areas have experienced heavy rain and surface flooding, so please allow extra time when travelling and take care on the roads. Be mindful of your surroundings, including the potential for slips or unstable ground, and use your judgement if conditions don’t feel safe. We also recommend wearing weather‑appropriate clothing and footwear, especially for early morning services.
The Carterton ANZAC service details are:
- Parade forms at 10.45am from Holloway Street
- Parade starts, Holloway Street – High Street – Memorial Square where service will commence shortly after parade arrival
Thank you for looking out for yourself and others as we come together to commemorate ANZAC Day.
