Voting is as Kiwi as community pride — and as Carterton as our Daffodil Festival.

Top town. Top turnout. Carterton’s turnout was 60.7% in 2022 — let’s beat that together.

Carterton has a proud history of high voter turnout, and this year we’re aiming to be the Top Town.

Voting is now open, and our ballot bins are ready across the district. You’ll find them at:

    • Carterton District Council Main Office, 28 Holloway Street
    • Wairarapa Events Centre, 50 Holloway Street
    • G.A.S Carterton Petrol Station, 260 High Street South
    • New World Supermarket, 60/72 High Street South
  • Challenge Carterton Petrol Station, 201 High Street North

Whether you’re posting your papers by Tuesday 7 October, or dropping them off before 12 noon on Saturday 11 October, it’s quick and easy.

Special voting is available at 28 Holloway Street from 9am–4pm on weekdays, and 9am–12 noon on Election Day, Saturday 11 October.

No need to panic if your voting form hasn’t arrived yet — they’re due to land anytime up to 22 September. If you still haven’t received yours after that, contact Council for assistance.

Look out for our special voting pop-up at our office for the Daffodil Festival on Sunday, where our team will be on hand to help with enrolment updates, accessibility support, and any questions you have.

Our message is simple:

Be a voter. Top town. Top turnout. Voting is as Kiwi as community pride — and as Carterton as our Daffodil Festival.
