Public notice of an application for resource consent pursuant to Section 2AB, 95A, of the Resource Management Act 1991
RM240005 Masterton Solar & Energy Storage Limited, SH2, Carterton
Carterton District Council’s Planning Department has received a resource consent application [RM240005] for resource consent application [RM240005] for a 138ha solar farm located at 3954A State Highway 2, Waingawa, Carterton [legally described as Pt Lot 2 DP 2099, Pt Lot 3 DP 2099, Pt Lot 1 DP 46533, Lot 1 DP 19148, Pt Lot 4 DP 2099Lot 1 DP 171189, Lot 1 DP 3447, Pt Lot 4 DP 2099].
The consent seeks to establish an agrivoltaics development (solar farm) including solar panels, inverters, transformers, battery energy storage system, a substation, a site office and connection to nearby Masterton Substation.
Application documents may be inspected at Carterton District Council’s main office at 28 Holloway Street, Carterton between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, until the closing date for submissions.

Any person may make a submission on the application, but a person who is a trade competitor of the applicant (or a surrogate of such) may do so only if that person is directly affected by an effect of the activity to which the application relates that—
(a) adversely affects the environment; and
(b) does not relate to trade competition or the effects of trade competition.
Submissions must be made on Form 13 – Submission on a Notified Resource Consent Application (and any supporting documents), and must be addressed to: Planning Team, Carterton District Council, PO Box 9, Carterton 5743 or by emailing an electronic version of the submission to planning@cdc.govt.nz.
A copy of any submission on the application must also be sent to the following address for service of the applicant [as soon as reasonably practicable after service of the submission to the Council], either by written postal copy or emailed copy:
