All are welcome to join us this Matariki for a special dawn ceremony to unveil a Pou Whenua that honours te taiao, connections, people and place.
Event Details
- Date: Departing 5:30am, Saturday 21 June 2025 (please arrive by 5:15am for transport)
- Meeting location: Wairarapa Events Centre
- Unveiling location: Ngā Tāwhai Reserve, Te Wharau (access via Council-organised transport only)
- Dress: Warm clothing and appropriate footwear recommended
- Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided after the ceremony
Important Information
- Travel to the site will be provided. Private vehicles are not permitted at the Reserve.
- Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.
