Unfortunately, we’ve lost another tree to the recent storm – this time in Memorial Square.
This large Pin Oak has been snapped at the roots and cannot be saved. As such it is very unstable and works are underway to remove it today.
Our assessment has determined the string lights are also unsalvageable.
We ask that you stay well back from the area while this work is carried out.
Our team have been working across the district to assess our trees, bringing in tree surgeons wherever required. Please keep clear of any coned and marked off areas as this work continues. Thank you for your cooperation.
