What the Committee does
The Committee focuses on practical delivery and oversight across three current Action Plan areas:
- Promotion of Carterton
- Town Centre / CBD Development
- Waingawa Industrial Area
Committee members bring real-world experience, test assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure economic initiatives are well-sequenced and deliver outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking people who can contribute constructively at a governance table. Relevant experience may include:
- business and enterprise development
- infrastructure or development
- primary sector / food and fibre
- workforce and skills
- Māori economic development
- innovation or knowledge-based sectors
- finance or commercial governance
You do not need to represent a group or organisation. This is not a consultation forum.
What’s involved
- Quarterly meetings
- Reading and preparation in advance
- Contributing insight, judgement, and practical experience
Key dates
- EOIs close: Sunday 19 April
- First meeting: Wednesday 29 April
