Our annual community survey is open until Sunday 15 March.
Our 2026 Community Survey is open, and we want to hear from as many people as possible. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, recently moved to the district, or run a local business, your experiences help guide the decisions that shape our community.
Last year more than 700 people took part in our 2025 Community Survey, sharing what they love about Carterton and what they felt could be improved. Your feedback has seen Council implement real change – and now we’re asking for your input again.
In 2025, many of you spoke with pride about Carterton’s strong sense of community, our welcoming spirit, and the way people look out for one another. You told us you value our parks, playgrounds, library, swimming pool and rural charm.
You also highlighted areas for improvement — transparency, public toilets, the look and feel of High Street. That feedback has influenced the mahi we’ve been doing throughout the past year and helps us prioritise projects, plan better services, and understand what really matters to our community. Our 2026 survey continues this conversation.
How to take part:
The survey takes around 10 minutes, and every response counts. You can complete it online, on your phone, or using a paper copy available at our Holloway Street administration offices and the Carterton Library.
So, tell us what you love, tell us what you like, tell us what you’d like to see improved.
What are the prizes:
Your choice! We’ll have a prize draw every Friday while the survey is open and our winners will receive a voucher from a Carterton-based business of their choice.
Survey closes Sunday 15 March, 2026.
