From 19–25 September 2025, Carterton District Council is joining Keep New Zealand Beautiful and Smart Environmental to support Clean Up Week – Aotearoa’s largest litter clean-up event. This community-led initiative is your chance to make a real difference for our district, whether you’re a school, business, community group, or just a bunch of mates.

How to take part
– Register online by 15 September with Keep New Zealand Beautiful
– Collect your free clean-up kit (gloves, hi-vis vests & rubbish bags) from our Waste Management & Minimisation Officer at Carterton District Council
– Drop off your collected rubbish free of charge at Carterton Transfer Station during Clean Up Week (registered volunteers only)

A cleaner community not only looks great for locals and visitors alike, but it also helps discourage future littering. Together, we can keep Carterton beautiful.
