The Charles Rooking Carter Community Awards are all about celebrating the people who make Carterton such a special place to live.

Every two years, we have the privilege of recognising the outstanding individuals and organisations whose generosity, connection, and community spirit make our district such a wonderful place to live, work, and play.

These awards honour the heart of Carterton — the people who give their time, skills, and energy to make a difference in our community.

We’re refreshing our award categories to better reflect the many ways people contribute to our district. The new categories will be announced soon — but rest assured, if you’ve been planning a nomination based on the 2024 awards, it will still be relevant.

Nominations open in the New Year

We’ll be shouting the news from the rooftops when nominations open — and you’ll have plenty of time to put forward someone truly amazing.

We’re also making the nomination process as simple as possible, with options to nominate online or using a paper form.
