You may notice a few fenced-off areas in Carrington Park at the moment, but don’t worry, they’re only temporary and they don’t affect the use of the playground or skate park.
1. We have an oak tree at the park (fenced off and picture below) with a split in one of its major branches. Advice from a professional arborist is that it is dangerous in its present state, so the branch will be removed on Wednesday to eliminate any health and safety hazards it may cause.
2. We are installing a new barbecue (yay!) so the area around it will be fenced off for a few weeks until the work is complete.
3. There is a much bigger fence around the developing kids cycle skills track which is coming along nicely. This will be ready by mid-2020 but will be worth the wait, especially to see those working traffic lights!
